Abstract
Gala evening in the PI Tchaikovsky Hall in Moscow, dedicated to the 2400th anniversary of the birth of Aristophanes - the ancient Greek poet-satirist, author of political, satirical comedies. The evening is opened by film director S. A. Gerasimov. IG Petrovsky reads out a report by SI Sobolevsky, Corresponding Member of the USSR Academy of Sciences, on the topic: "Aristophanes and his work." On the podium: Chairman of the West German Committee of Fighters for Peace, Heret Meiche, Korean writer Lee Gi Yong, Japanese writers Takunata and Iwakami Junitsa and others.
