Abstract
Solemn meeting at the People's Theater in Sofia, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Bulgaria by Russian troops from the Turkish yoke. On the presidium are the leaders of the Bulgarian Communist Party and the Government of the People's Republic of Bulgaria, headed by Vylko Chervenkov. Secretary of the Central Committee of the Bulgarian Communist Party Encho Staikov makes a report. Memorable places associated with the Russian-Turkish war of 1877-1878, the liberation of Bulgaria by Russian troops: a monument on the top of Mount Shipka, places of battles near the village of Gorny Dubnyak, Plevny. Museum of the Russian-Turkish War of 1877-1878. Museum curator Nesho Stefanova tells a group of schoolchildren about the liberation of Plevna.
