Abstract
France, Verdun, March 24, 1916 - President R. Poincare, Prince of Serbia Alexander, commander-in-chief of the French army, General J. Joffre and their accompanying persons pass along the platform of the station, on which a guard of honor is lined up. R. Poincaré rewards those who distinguished themselves in the battles of Verdun. The chief of defense of the Verdun fortified area, General A.F. Pétain, General J. Geoffre talk with French officers at the entrance to the mayor's office, where the headquarters is located. R. Poincare, Prince Alexander, General J. Joffre, accompanied by French and Serbian officers, walk around the line of soldiers, inspect the combat position, an unexploded 38-centimeter German shell, pass one of the fortifications of the Verdun fortress, leave the dugout. Prince Alexander talks with a French officer, R. Poincaré and General J. Geoffre are standing nearby. R. Poincare, Prince Alexander, General J. Joffre, General Balfourier, accompanied by French and Serbian officers, bypass the formation of soldiers of one of the divisions of the 20th corps, receive a parade of troops.
