Abstract
The film tells about the expedition of the members of the Far Eastern Expeditionary Center on an old Eskimo canoe around Chukotka, about the life and customs of the indigenous inhabitants of Chukotka - sea hunters - Eskimos and coastal Chukchi. The film includes the following filming: members of the expedition and on a canoe in the sea, hunting for walruses, construction of canoes from walrus skins; Seeing off the members of the expedition to the sea: dance of the shaman and dances of local residents; landscapes of the sea and the coast of Chukotka, a view of the "Whale Alley" created by the ancient Eskimos, a view of the Chukotka village of Lorino, butchering of walrus and whale carcasses on the shore, a view of walrus bone products, a view of Cape Dezhnev.
