Abstract
The film tells about the most important events in the life of Ancient Russia in the 14th century in the conditions of the Horde yoke, about the formation of the Moscow principality as a political, cultural and defensive center, around which the united Russian state begins to take shape. Most of the film is devoted to the main historical event of that era - the Battle of Kulikovo. The film uses documents, picturesque images of the events of the 14th century, icons.
