Abstract
A film about Soviet foreign policy aimed at implementing the Peace Program, about meetings, negotiations and agreements on cooperation at the highest level with French President J. D'Estaing, US Presidents R. Nixon and D. Ford, British Prime Minister G. Wilson, Federal Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany W. Brandt, on international conferences and meetings devoted to nuclear disarmament, ending the arms race, banning bacteriological weapons, on the Pan-European Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe (including the USA and Canada) in Helsinki, at which the meeting participants signed Final act. The film includes archival film documents about the Second World War and its consequences on the territory of the USSR, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Germany and France, about the American aggression in Vietnam, about the Arab-Israeli armed conflict, about the main stages of development of the Soviet-French, Soviet-German and Soviet -American relations, about the economic assistance of the USSR to Egypt and India, about protest demonstrations and rallies in different countries. Speech by the General Secretary of the CPSU Central Committee Leonid Brezhnev on the Peace Program at the 24th Congress of the CPSU (synchronously, fragments).
