Various moments of the construction of the Saimaa Canal by Soviet and Finnish builders. Workers of the two countries on vacation in a club, fishing, skiing competitions. Finnish workers are speaking (synchronously in Finnish). Ships are passing through the canal. Rally in honor of the opening of the channel. Speakers: President of Finland U. K.
