Abstract
The film tells about the annual drive of sheep from the steppe arid regions of Dagestan to summer mountain pastures. Shepherds (among them - Omar Gadzhi Shamkhalov) drive flocks of sheep across the steppe and mountain regions of the Dagestan Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, they are taken in train trains. In the native village of O.G. Shamkhalov - Dubrimakhi, Akushinsky district - a solemn meeting of the shepherds. Flocks of sheep in mountain pastures. Camping life of the shepherds. Empty sheepfolds in the steppe regions of Dagestan during dusty (sand) storms. Children play with lambs; the boy feeds the lamb from the bottle. Trees serving as windbreak at the edge of the field. OG Shamkhalov and other shepherds work in an apple orchard, watering trees before the dry season.
