Abstract
The film tells about the world's first pilot plant for the direct conversion of thermal energy into electrical energy by the magnetohydrodynamic method. The following surveys were used: construction of a power plant with an MHD generator; installation of the main units of the MHD generator; checking the mechanisms and assemblies of the station; assembly of control panels and electronic computers; shop managers and specialists carry out pre-start inspection of the station; physical start-up of the station on March 28, 1971, Academician, Chairman of the Science and Technology Committee V. Kirilin congratulates the builders; the chief engineer of the station S.
