Rolland; speech by A. M. Gorky. Uzbekistan. Navoi city in Samarkand region; streets, flowering trees; the car watering the streets. Children swim in the pool. The orchestra performs the Second Concerto for Piano and Orchestra by composer R. Shchedrin. R. Shchedrin at the piano; conductor G. Rozhdestvensky. Soloist of the Bolshoi Theater of the USSR M. Plisetskaya dances the role of Carmen in R. Shchedrin's ballet-suite "Carmen" based on the music of J. Bizet.
