Abstract
The film tells about the work of the painter V.L. Borovikovsky (1757-1825). The film includes the following footage: St. Petersburg: Peter and Paul Fortress (I, II part), Palace Bridge, Stock Exchange (I part), Kunstkamera (II part), St. Isaac's Cathedral (I part), Mikhailovsky Castle (II part), the building of the Academy of Sciences (II part, removed from the opposite side of the river from a passing car). Pushkin, Leningrad Region: Upper Bath pavilion, antique sculptures, Cameron Gallery, Bolshoy Pond, Chesme Column (I part), front gate, facade of the Catherine Palace (I, IIh.) Landscapes: trees with bare branches are reflected in the water, the reflection of the building in the water (I, IIh.), The reflection in the water of the canal of the bridge, the bell tower (IIh.) A quartet of violinists is playing (II, IIh. Sync. ). The film is illustrated with painted engravings of the early 19th century, paintings by V.L.
