Abstract
On October 25, 1956, a demonstration takes place in the streets of Budapest. A car pulls up with the rebels. Rebels outside the American Embassy; attack on the political school named after Petofi; tear off the sign with the name "Lenin Street"; smash the Freedom Monument. Fight on the streets of Budapest. Broken buildings, burning books. Newspaper reporting on the entry of Soviet troops into Budapest. Photos published in foreign magazines about events in Hungary. Reconstruction work on the streets of Budapest. Trams pass through the streets, newspapers are sold, there is a queue at the bakery.
