Abstract
A special issue, compiled from materials from Japanese newsreels, dedicated to the protest of the Japanese public against the Japanese government's policy towards the United States. Japan. Tokyo city. Visit of the US Secretary of State for Press Affairs Hagerty. Hagerty's meeting at the airport. Demonstration of protest against Hagerty's visit. Hagerty's car was detained by demonstrators. Hagerty makes his way through the crowd to a US military helicopter sent after him. Protest rallies outside the US Embassy, on the square, outside the parliament building. Police clash with demonstrators. Use of tear gas and physical force against demonstrators. Injured in the streets, in the hospital. Sanitary cars. Railroad workers strike in Tokyo.
