Abstract
The film tells about the nationality - the Karelians, about their folklore, about the Karelian republic and about the capital of Karelia - the city of Petrozavodsk. The film includes the following filming: children play Karelian folk instruments, sitting in a village house; landscapes of Karelia: forests, river, lake; kantele master; a view of one of the rural settlements, a wooden church; a woman in a temple, singing (sinhr.); children run in the street in the rain, a carpenter works on a machine, a cattleman removes manure; views of Petrozavodsk on the shore of Lake Onega; view of old buildings; the musician plays the kantele.
