Abstract
The film tells about the life of border villages: Ukrainian - Melovoe and Russian - Chertkovo, about the population of these villages, which turned out to be separated by the border, but related to each other by family ties, work, education of children, as well as a long cohabitation in the same village, which existed in the former Soviet Union.
