Abstract
A film about a former huntsman of a reserved island of one of the Ural lakes, a former submariner officer VM Spitsky. Ural. Landscapes of the island and lake. Motor boat movement. The sun breaks through the foliage. The bird feeds the chicks in the nest. Bumblebee on a branch. V.M.Spitsky talks about his life, work, service on a submarine, about a meeting with Marshal G.K. Zhukov (synchronously), goes round the lake on a motor boat, makes the last detour of the island, checks the salt marshes for elk, sits with his wife by the fire, doing household chores. Spitsky at the burial place of the prisoner Gulag, who was on the island from 1932 to 1956, speaks of innocent people who died (synchronously). Chronicle footage: G.K. Zhukov on horseback on the territory of the Kremlin before the start of the parade, leaves the gates of the Kremlin; submarine at sea.
