Abstract
Voronezh front, Sumy, September 2, 1943 Views of the city (removed from the plane). Military units of the 38th Army of the Voronezh Front: infantry units, artillery pass through the streets of the city of Sumy. Residents of the city greet their liberators. Young girls stand on one of the streets, fighters with anti-tank rifles are walking by. Children run down the street, accompanying the passing soldiers. A panorama of the ruins of one of the houses. General view of the meeting in honor of the liberation of the city of Sumy. Speeches at a rally by the head of the political department of the Voronezh Front, Major General Vasily Mitrofanovich Shatilov, a worker at the plant named after Frunze Ignatenko. The chairman of the city council reads out a welcoming telegram addressed to comrade Stalin. Among those present at the rally: the commander of the 38th Army, Lieutenant General Nikandr Yevlampievich Chibisov, local teacher Lukash and others. People applaud the speakers at the rally.
