American pianist V. Cliburn performs at the Palace of Congresses, plays L. Beethoven's Appationata (synchronously) and Scriabin's sketch (synchronously), walks with his mother in a forest near Moscow, drives around Moscow in a car, receives guests at his hotel "National" of the laureates of the I-st International Competition. PI Tchaikovsky, plays the piano. Opening of the 1st festival of contemporary music in Gorky; M. Rostropovich, D. Shostakovich, A. Khachaturian, T. Khrennikov among the guests and participants of the festival; performance before the workers of the Gorky Automobile Plant of the City Philharmonic Orchestra, M. Rostropovich and G. Vishnevskaya.
