Abstract
Stadium "Young Pioneers" on Leningradsky Prospekt in Moscow. Training sessions for cyclists on a cycle track, gymnasts in the gym, skaters on the highway and on the ice rink, figure skaters on the ice rink, track and field athletes in the stadium. The oldest athlete and coach J. Ya. Tomm talks about the history of the stadium (synchronously). The film includes newsreel footage of athletes training in the 30s; performances of the pupil of the stadium "Young Pioneers", master of sports of the USSR, gymnast S. Muratova in 1946, presentation of awards to the members of the Soviet football team at the Olympics in Melbourne in 1956 (team captain I. Net - pupil of the stadium "Young Pioneers"), performance two-time world and European champions, figure skaters I. Rodnina and A. Ulanova, who began their sports at the stadium "Young Pioneers" and other athletes. The guys play chess with the world chess champion V. V. Smyslov. Pupils of the Young Pioneers stadium go in for sports at a summer sports camp.
