The guys are watching a New Year's performance with the participation of Santa Claus, Snow Maiden and other fairy-tale characters. At the knock of the magic staff in the hands of Santa Claus, the lights on the decorated Christmas tree are lit, another blow, and a bunny, a doll, a squirrel, a hussar performed by children appear under the tree. The last wave of the staff - and the whole company begins to dance, including children in costumes of bears and dogs. Gradually, spectators in carnival costumes join the fabulous performance: in budenovkas, peakless caps, in Russian sarafans. The first to go to the tree are the smallest schoolchildren in hats in the form of animals: bears, wolf cubs, dogs. The rest of the guys are running after them. Girls in white dresses - snowflakes - are dancing near the tree. Ded Moroz and Snegurochka lead a round dance around the tree, a cult worker in a concert dress plays with the children.
