Abstract
A film about the peoples of Russia - the Ulchi and Nivkhs living in the lower reaches of the Amur River, the ecology of the territory in which they live. Forest fire. Animal corpses. Timber movement. Movement of ships along the Amur river. A dog of the "Russian Spaniel" breed sits at the stern of a motor boat. Ulchi and Nivkhs of different sex, age at home, at work. Fishermen catch fish. Settlements (villages, townships) on the banks of the Amur River. Cave drawings. Shaman amulets. Cemetery of Ulchi and Nivkhs. The old shaman is giving interviews (synchronously).
