Abstract
City of Moscow, February 1, 1989. Monument to the revolutionary and one of the first Soviet diplomats A.A. Vorovsky (sculptor M. I. Katz) on Vorovsky Square. Opening of a memorial plaque to the statesman, diplomat Lev Mikhailovich Karakhan (Karakhanyan) at 25, st. Kuznetsky Most (architect A.S. Kolobov). The meeting is opened and chaired by the Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Dzerzhinsky District Council of People's Deputies VA Kulagin. Speakers: First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the USSR A.A. Bessmertnykh, veteran of the diplomatic service, former head of the department of international economic organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR A.S. Chistyakov, 4th year student of MGIMO, secretary of the Komsomol committee of the faculty S.N. Terentyev. Among those present at the rally: Assistant to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the USSR Yu.N. Kisel, architect A.S. Kolobov, Deputy Chairman of the War and Labor Council of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR M.A. Kustovsky, member of the party committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR N.A. Mozzhukhina, Leo's daughter Mikhailovich - V.L. and I.L Karakhan. The protesters lay flowers.
