Abstract
The background material "Scherzo" from the 4th symphony of the composer Per Ilyich Tchaikovsky, recorded with the electro-optical synthesizer "Variophone" by Evgeny Alexandrovich Sholpo on January 9, 1935. "Variophone" synthesizes artificial sound tracks using the automated "drawn (graphic) sound" technique.
