Abstract
Southwestern Front, July-August, 1943. Combat operations of the units of the 464th Regiment of the 78th Infantry Division of the 3rd Guards Army on the Privolnyansky bridgehead near the Seversky Donets: mortar crews are firing at enemy positions. The soldiers are crossing the river in boats, on a temporary bridge. Landscapes of the Seversky Donets River. Loading shells into boats. Soldiers in a position in a trench, carrying shells through a wooded area; among the soldiers of the regiment, the Red Army soldier of the 6th rifle company of the 464th regiment, Ivan Andreevich Koshkin, awarded the medal "For Courage" (born in a village near Krasny Liman in 1899). Note: for cameraman M. Kapkin - this was the last shooting, he was killed during the operation on the Seversky Donets.
