Abstract
A story about films created by Soviet filmmakers over the five years that have passed between the XXVI and XXVII Congresses of the CPSU. Fragments from films: "Red Bells" directed by S. F. Bondarchuk, "Leo Tolstoy" directed by S. A. Gerasimov, "Coast" directed by A. Alov and V. Naumov, "Victory" directed by E. Matveyev, "European history" directed by I. Gostev, "Private Life" by Y. Raizman. Minsk city. 18th All-Union Film Festival dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people over Nazi Germany. Festival prizes are awarded to filmmakers E. Matveev, A. Simonov (for the film "Detachment"). 14th International Film Festival in Moscow. Film director E. Klimov receives the main prize of the festival for the film "Come and See".
