Abstract
Polar station "Cape Uelen" on the Chukotka Peninsula. Scientists of the station at work: hydrologists Boris and Rimma Garevskikh measure the temperature of the water; the meteorologist EM Medvedeva approaches the meteorological booth and takes readings of the instruments; aerologists launch radiosondes; KA Kiselev receives radio signals from the ball probe. The head of the polar station, IA Medvedev, transmits the report-radiogram to the head of the radio station, G.A.Malikov, who hands it over to the radio engineer L.G. Metelkin. Radio operator Metelkin at work. Winterers in the dining room at lunch. Wardroom in the evening: winterers read, play chess, V. Siltsov plays the accordion, G. A.
