Abstract
Russia, Tsarskoe Selo, [March 1910] - Formations of young sailors on the square in front of the palace. Sailors aim up with rifles, perform gymnastic exercises with rifles. Emperor Nicholas II (in naval uniform) talks to naval officers on the square in front of the palace; General P.K. Benckendorff, Admiral K.D. Nilov. On the porch of the palace are Empress Alexandra Feodorovna, Grand Duchesses Olga, Tatiana, Maria, Tsarevich Alexei in naval uniform. The sailors are showing [paintings] to Nicholas II. Alexandra Feodorovna and Aleksey approach them. Russia, Tsarskoe Selo, [May 1, 1906] - Sailors with rifles are standing on the square in front of the palace. Nicholas II bypasses their formation, accompanied by officers of the army and navy. The column of sailors leaves the square. There is a line of sailors with signal flags; one of them is "semaphore" with flags. Nicholas II talks to a sailor with flags, the sailor runs away, another sailor runs up to Nicholas II. The Rear Admiral and General, officers are standing nearby.
