Box 1 Rallies dedicated to the memory of the Guard Junior Sergeant of the 1st Rifle Company of the 77th Rifle Regiment of the 26th Guards Rifle Division of the 11th Guards Army of the Belorussian Front Yuri Smirnov, who died an agonizing death in a German dugout. Guard foreman, Komsomol organizer Konstantin Stepanovich Shmyrev speaks at a rally about revenge on the fascist executioners in the upcoming battles for the death of comrade Yuri Smirnov (sinhr.). Guard Senior Lieutenant Pyotr Alekseevich Kustov tells how he saw Yuri crucified on the wall in a German dugout (sinhr.). The soldiers stand up, raising their weapons. Box 2 Maria Fedorovna Smirnova, mother of Yuri Smirnov, in a unit among the fellow soldiers of her son, thanks them for their attention and asks to avenge her son (sinhr.). Komsomol organizer of the regiment Vasily Kuleshov, shaking the woman's hand, vows, on behalf of all the soldiers, to avenge the death of her son and their friend (sinhr.). Box 3 Maria Fedorovna Smirnova talks to the fighter Yuri Abrazsky, namesake of her deceased son. Members of the Military Council, Colonel-General Kuzma Nikitovich Galitsky, Pyotr Nikolaevich Kulikov communicate with M.F. Smirnova. [Lieutenant General Mikhail Nikolaevich Zavodovsky] speaks at the podium. Box 4 Guards Lieutenant Colonel Yegor Filippovich Lapchinsky at a rally read out a TASS message, which says that by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, the Red Army soldier Yuri Vladimirovich Smirnov was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union for bravery and heroism (sync.). Box 5 Deputy battalion commander for political affairs, guard Senior Lieutenant Andrei Mikhailovich Maslov reads a letter to the soldiers from Maria Fedorovna Smirnova, in which she asks to avenge the death of her son (sinhr.). Komsomol organizer of the battalion, guard foreman Konstantin Stepanovich Shmyrev speaks of heroism and soldier's duty (sinhr.). Box 6 Deputy Battalion Commander for Political Affairs, Guard Senior Lieutenant Andrei Mikhailovich Maslov opens a rally dedicated to the posthumous awarding of the title of Hero of the Soviet Union to Komsomol Yuri Smirnov. Guard Major Anatoly Andreevich Sergeev read out the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet on awarding the title of Hero of the Soviet Union to Yuri Smirnov (sinhr.).
