Abstract
Smolensk region, March 1943. The graves of German soldiers at the edge of the Dubki village. Soviet tanks, guards mortars are moving to new combat positions. The orderlies are taking the wounded on sleds to the medical battalion. Parts of the Red Army are in the village burned by the Germans. Inhabitants of the village in the ashes. Return of residents to the village. German military equipment abandoned by the Germans during the retreat. Liberation of one of the settlements by Soviet troops. Secretary of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR AF Gorkin presents orders and medals to generals and marshals in frontline conditions. Among the awardees K. K. Rokossovsky.
