60th Anniversary of N S Tikhonov

The ceremonial meeting in the Column Hall of the House of Unions, dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the birth of the famous Soviet writer, public figure, chairman of the Soviet Peace Committee NS Tikhonov. Among the members of the presidium - L.V. Nikulin. N. S. Tikhonov congratulate and greet: poet A. A. Surkov, member of the World Peace Council Isabella Blum, President of the USSR Academy of Sciences A. N. Nesmeyanov, chairman of the Egyptian Committee of Peace Supporters Mohamed Kemal El-Bindari. In honor of NS Tikhonov, the composer D. D. Shostakovich plays the piano; Indian singers perform a national song; the choir of the radio committee sings ditties composed by S. V. Mikhalkov and dedicated to N. S. Tikhonov. NS Tikhonov speaks back.
