A story about the village of Veshenskaya, the birthplace of Mikhail Sholokhov, during the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the writer. The deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, twice Hero of Socialist Labor, laureate of Lenin, State and Nobel Prizes, writer Mikhail Alexandrovich Sholokhov was awarded the Order of Lenin and the second gold medal "Hammer and Sickle". In the village of Veshenskaya, a solemn meeting was held dedicated to the anniversary of the writer. And in the Kruzhilinsky farm, the house where Sholokhov was born was restored.
