Abstract
The film tells about the history of the development of the science of agricultural chemistry, about the problems of agricultural chemistry. The film reveals one of the main contradictions of agrochemistry today: on the one hand, it is the most important means of increasing the yield of agricultural crops, and on the other hand, it is a source of environmental danger if fertilizers are not applied on time, in violation of technology, including storage. The film not only analyzes the causes of technology disruption, but also introduces positive and advanced experience in the application of agricultural chemistry. The film shows how in the advanced farms of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, thanks to the implementation of the scientific technology of fertilization, it was possible to raise yields many times and achieve environmentally friendly products. The film introduces new machines: PZhU-5, SZK, SVM-7, etc., which were designed by the All-Union Institute of Mechanization in Klin, as well as the All-Union Institute of Mechanization in Zaporozhye. The film gives a detailed panorama of scientific research on the use of fertilizers, on the search for new technologies, which are carried out in scientific laboratories, at research stations. The film includes the following filming: a speech by Academician B.A. Yagodin (sync.), Students of the Timiryazev Academy at a lecture, B.A. Yagodin's meeting with a correspondent, production processes at a chemical plant in Voskresensk for the production of mineral fertilizers, a general view of fields in different regions of the country during plowing, sowing and harvesting of grain, vegetables, cotton, the type of wetlands, fertilization, laboratory research at zonal agrochemical and design and survey stations for chemicalization. Newsreel footage is used in the film: pre-revolutionary chronicles, chronicles of the 20s, 30s.
