Abstract
The film tells about yesterday and today the Russian Academic Theater named after Yevgeny Vakhtangov - one of the oldest theaters in the North Caucasus. Excerpts from performances by Russian and foreign authors alternate with excerpts from interviews with the theater director Vladimir Uvarov, chief director Valery Popov, the oldest theater actress Valeria Khugaeva.
