At the Height of the Nameless

Note: from May 3 to September 16, 1943, the 262nd Infantry Division under the command of Major General Usachev held the defenses on the outskirts of Demidov. The soldiers of the 940th Infantry Regiment for a long time held back the offensive of the Nazis, holding the strategic height Bezymyannaya near the village of Praniki (Gingerbread), for which they were awarded government awards.
