Abstract
2nd Ukrainian Front, Moldavian SSR, Balti, March, 1944. The bridge across the Dniester river, built by Soviet soldiers. Tanks drive over the bridge. Types of the city liberated from the occupation. The square of the city, through which the captured Romanian and German soldiers are under escort. Railway station building. A railway junction with locomotives, wagons, and guns abandoned by the enemy. A burning grain elevator set on fire by a retreating enemy. Local residents greet Soviet soldiers - liberators. Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul. Cathedral of Saints Constantine and Helena. On the street of the city are Chairman of the Supreme Soviet of the Moldavian SSR Nikita Leontyevich Salogor, Chairman of the Council of People's Commissars Tikhon Antonovich Konstantinov, Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Moldavian SSR Fedor Grigorievich Brovko; communicate with residents. People are returning home, among them is the family of Zalman Boykis. Worker V. Rotar installs the Red Flag on the roof of the building. Workers go to the oil mill. A poster on the wall of the building with the NDP: "YES MOLDOVAN SSR".
