The film includes the following filming made in the province of Santiaga de Cuba: a view of a hut in one of the settlements, a man in the courtyard of a house, saddling a horse; crew members interview one of the families; the head of the family rubs the vegetables on a grater, collects the resulting mass in a bag and puts it under a press, squeezing out the juice; making flour from dried mass and baking flat cakes; children eat cakes.
