The film tells about the problems faced by the Kiev restorer Georgy Bessonov, who came to the 30-kilometer zone to collect the monuments of history and culture of Polesie, about his discovery of a unique icon, which he called the "Mother of God of Chernobolsk". The film includes the following filming: views of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant (filmed from a helicopter), G. Bessonov in one of the settlements of the Chernobyl zone, a view of apartments and houses destroyed by looters.
