Abstract
French soldiers camouflage artillery pieces in a military camp. Packets of tobacco are handed out to French soldiers; cooks prepare meat food in a military camp. The soldier is feeding the horses. French officers accept the passage of an American detachment, one of the first to arrive at the scene of the fighting. A French automobile supply unit at a halt. French soldiers try on gas masks. French and American national flags are hoisted on flagpoles in the military forest camp; American and French soldiers shake hands. American sailors unload sacks of grain from a steamer that arrived from the United States to France. Generalissimo of the French armies A. Petain visits the troops resting after the fighting; stands among the soldiers; drinks water from a mug.
