Abstract
The film is dedicated to the capital of the GDR - East Berlin. On the streets of Berlin are residents, organ-grinder. Newsreel: city streets during the Second World War, in the 1920s; E. Thälmann. Humboldt University students in the classroom; young people at a rehearsal in the Oktobor club. Seeing off Soviet pioneers who were vacationing in the GDR; the young Berliners of the Oktober Club are singing; sings E. Bush; construction of residential buildings in Berlin. W. Ulbricht among builders; children on the merry-go-round, in strollers, drawing in the streets; demonstrations of neo-fascists. Brandenburg Gate, border, border guards pass, checkpoint. West Berlin. Streets, bank buildings; Berlin Wall; young people at the grave of R. Hoon, who was killed at the Berlin Wall in 1962.
