The village of Aleksandrovka, Penza region. View of the street and houses. An elderly woman and a boy are sitting on a log. A herd of cows is walking down the street. Children play in a birch grove. A resident of the village Vasilyeva Akulina talks about her life before and after the war: about hunger, about the birth of a son, about hard work, about bitter resentment at the present time (sinhr.). A carpenter is cutting a log. Women shear a black sheep in the yard. An elderly woman with a rocker is walking down the street. Residents of the village are queuing up at the village store. The second plot is dedicated to Egorova Orisha from the Penza region. The village of Aleksandrovka, Penza region. A resident of the village of Orisha Yegorova talks about her life: about hard work, about caring for sick parents during the war, about loneliness and undeservedly low pension (sinhr.). The villagers sing ditties and dance in the courtyard of one of the houses.
