An acutely publicistic film in which the author considers the return of N. Ogarev's ashes from London in 1966 and the forced departure of the poet I. Brodsky abroad in the same years as a "scary" "cultural exchange". Session of the court, held in Leningrad in 1964 (staged based on documentary recordings of journalist F. Vigdorova). A plot about the transfer of the ashes of the revolutionary and poet N.P. Ogaryov from London to Moscow in 1966: the arrival of the plane with the urn at the airfield of the Sheremetyevo airport, taking out the urn with the ashes from the plane, the funeral meeting at the Novodevichyom cemetery, the grave of N. Ogareva. Newsreel footage of the 1960s-1970s: a church on the river bank; felling and removal of timber by a tractor from the site.
