Finnish Guests Visit

Moscow city. May 5, 1959. Vnukovo airfield. Arrival of the Commander of the Finnish Defense Forces, General Heiskanen, and his entourage. Among the greeters: Marshals of the Soviet Union I. Konev, A. Grechko, generals and officers. Heiskanen at a reception with the Minister of Defense of the USSR Marshal of the Soviet Union R. Ya. Malinovsky. The Finnish guests got acquainted with the sights of Moscow and new buildings. The head of the Frunze Academy, General P.A.Kurochkin, received the guests. A conversation took place. The guests got acquainted with the educational process. We attended a tank exercise in one of the units of the Moscow Military District. The Finnish guests visited the cities of Stalingrad, Leningrad, got acquainted with the construction of the Stalingrad hydroelectric power station, visited the Leningrad Artillery School named after the Red October.
