- A film sketch tells about the meeting of workers of the "Avangard" collective farm of the Jelgava region of the Latvian SSR with workers of the "12th October" collective farm of the Kostroma region. Chairman of the "Avangard" collective farm S. Leitan, other collective farmers talk with workers of the "12th October" collective farm and the chairman of the collective farm PA Malinina on the farm "12th October"; among them - a livestock technician of the collective farm "12th October" Alexandra Maksimovna Lishchenko. Review of the farm "12th October": pasture of cows, corn field, livestock farm; potato field; view of the collective farm village. Review of the farm "Avangard": pasture of cows; sugar beet fields; hotbeds and greenhouses. PA Malinina presents bread and salt to the Latvian collective farmers; collective farmers talk at home.
