Guarding Socialism

The parade of the troops of the Moscow garrison in honor of the 17th Congress of the CPSU (b): military equipment drives through the streets of Moscow to Red Square; troops are on the square before the start of the parade. Party and government leaders: V. I. Stalin, S. M. Kirov and others pass through the territory of the Kremlin; among them the military leaders: M. Tukhachevsky, Egorov, S. M. Budyonny; leaders rise to the podium of the Mausoleum. People's Commissar of Defense K. E. Voroshilov on horseback travels around the troops, delivers a speech from the rostrum of the Mausoleum. Party and government leaders greet participants in the parade; among them: VM Molotov, LM Kaganovich, E. Yaroslavsky, A. Yenukidze and others. Troops are marching in a solemn march across Red Square. Attachés of foreign states in the guest bleachers.
