Hungarian Chronicle No 7

The parliament building, an engineer at work near the drawing board, a steel-making shop at a metallurgical plant, a tram leaving the depot, schoolchildren on excursions to an architectural workshop, models of buildings, laying flowers at the monument to Soviet soldiers. The work of glassblowers in the workshop, artists paint glassware. A rural street, local residents sawing logs, chopping wood, a man feeding pigs in the yard of the house, homemade sausages and hams hanging in the house; men collect a parcel, a student in a dormitory disassembles a parcel with homemade sausage. Agricultural machinery in the yard of the machine-tractor station. Vacationers dine in the dining room, take physiotherapy procedures, undergo a medical examination at the sanatorium. Sailboats sail along the river. The newsreel uses a 1945 chronicle: destroyed buildings and a bridge in Budapest; Soviet soldiers build a temporary bridge, walk along the street; local residents are removing the rubble.
