Abstract
The film tells about the life and fate of Academician B.V. Raushenbach, who was at the origin of Russian cosmonautics, participated in the launch of the Vostok spacecraft with Yuri Gagarin, as well as in the first photographs of the far side of the Moon. The film includes the following filming: an interview with B. Rauschenbach (sinhr.), An academician at home in his office, an interview with Professor V.P. Legostaev (sinhr.), A general view of the assembly shop during the installation of a spacecraft, an interview with Doctor of Art I. E. Danilova (sinhr.), General view of the Andronikovsky monastery, B. Rauschenbach examines the icons in the museum. The film includes newsreels for different years: collective farmers at the propaganda plane, views of Moscow in the 30s, M.V. Keldysh and S.P. Korolyov in a group of scientists, preparation and launch of a spacecraft, Yu.A. Gagarin in a bus in front of flight, says goodbye to S.P. Korolev, the people meet the first cosmonaut of the planet.
