In a Liberated Village

Kalinin front. Soldiers and officers of the Red Army talk with residents of a village liberated from the German occupiers in the Leningrad Region. Residents of the village are looking for surviving things on the ruins of houses. Village church: broken sacristy, iconostasis. The villagers are preparing to plant potatoes in the collective farm field. Women sift cereal seeds before planting. Soldiers are repairing cars.
