3rd Ukrainian Front, June, 1945 Baltic Sea. On the shores of Frisch Gough, horses and emaciated camels chew hay. A detachment of German prisoners is walking along a sandy beach with a white flag. A group of Soviet soldiers, drinking tea from a samovar and talking. Among them: senior sergeant A.K. Polikarpov, guard private Z.I. Gritsenko, Hero of the Soviet Union, guard foreman, rifle platoon commander S.A. Melnikov, guard private G.S. Kononov.
