Inhabitants of the Tiksi bay browse new literature in the library; polar explorers read letters delivered by plane; a woman turns on a gramophone to listen to a letter recorded on a record. Coal mining in the village. Zyryanka in the North. Residents of Provideniya Bay receive parcels delivered by plane. Dog teams carry boxes of vegetables grown in the greenhouses of Provideniya Bay to the plane. Plane landing at the Moscow airfield; friends and relatives meet the pilots.
