The Kalmyk population is engaged in farming: grazing cattle, milking goats, knocking down butter, making the national drink "erke", spinning wool, making sheep and camel wool, driving herds of camels and sheep to a new pasture; sets sterns, prepares food on the tagan. Kalmyk wedding ceremony: the groom steals the bride. Guests drink and dance at the wedding to the play of a folk string instrument.
